Is there anyway to protect an image without filing a trademark?

March 20th, 2010 | Posted by Answers Community

I have a good logo for my business but at this point I do not intend to do enough business to justify the price of a federal trademark.
Is there any way to protect my intellectual property from being stolen and trademarked in the mean time?

Minimum Risk Investments?

March 18th, 2010 | Posted by Answers Community

My Mum had a smallish amount to invest after dad died. She went to a financial advisor in Oct 2006. He told her to invest in a 5year term distribution fund which allowed her to use some of the interest as income. She has lost approx 10% of the original lump sum because of the way the markets are. The advisor is saying to hold onto the fund as her investment is in gilts and commercial property. He says things always go up again and its not as if we are ar at war or the government is in debt! meanwhile the fund is still losing quite heavily, but if she withdraws her money she will lose another £3,500 in exit penalties! She is really worried.

I think she has been given duff advice from the outset! Surely he, as a financil advisor, should have seen the present market problems coming! Is there anything we can do about it?
Jack N. She was told the fund could go up or down but that it was minimum risk. She feels that the losses far exceed her expectations. With hindsite she would have taken a fixed interest bond but he didnt offer anything like that at the time. She is with one of the big banks

What's the starting salary of a Farmers Insurance agent?

March 14th, 2010 | Posted by Answers Community

I’m currently taking Insurance courses locally for about a week. Provided I pass my exam, how much can I expect to make "out of the gate" in insurance?

Also, how much do you think salary would increase over time? I hear that some agents reach 6 figures?

BEWARE:Very important inf for people who want to buy properties in Argentina and been foreigners?

March 12th, 2010 | Posted by Answers Community

Excuse my english. I speak spanish. If you are thinking in buy an appartment, a house or any property in Argentina, you must Know this. The Gouverment don´t say to anybody that. After you buy you will have to pay Them the 35% of the cost of the property, because they say, that you are arrenged it,and sending the money to your country, so when you wanted to sell your proprerty, you will have to pay to AFIP- a lot of money.
Please take care. Ask information with a lawer before do nothing.
A good friend.
